About

Intro

I am writing to express my interest in a nanny position for the upcoming winter season. Having previously worked as a Private Nanny in Méribel, I thoroughly enjoyed supporting families on their holidays and creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children of all ages. I would love the opportunity to return for another season and continue doing work that I genuinely enjoy. My experience includes caring for children from 5 weeks to 10 years old, planning engaging activities, preparing meals, maintaining routines, and building strong relationships with both children and parents. Alongside this, my role as an NHS midwife has strengthened my communication, organisation, and ability to remain calm under pressure while providing compassionate, high-quality care. My background in primary teaching and experience coaching and babysitting have also given me a strong understanding of child development and the importance of creating positive, engaging experiences for children. I am a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children. I enjoy being active and love the outdoor lifestyle that comes with working in the mountains. I would be delighted to bring my experience, energy, and commitment to your team and help create memorable holidays for families. Thank you for taking the time to consider my application.

Ensuring they enjoyed a safe, engaging, and memorable holiday experience. I provided attentive personal care tailored to each child's individual needs, while creating fun, age-appropriate activities to ensure they had an enjoyable and positive holiday. My responsibilities also included preparing nutritious meals and snacks, maintaining a clean and organised environment after activities and mealtimes, and adapting to each family's routines and preferences. I worked closely with parents to ensure the highest standard of care and to provide a seamless, stress-free holiday experience. I collaborated with chefs, chalet hosts, and drivers to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the chalet and help deliver an exceptional level of guest service. Living and working in resort also enabled me to develop an excellent knowledge of Méribel, including confidently navigating the local bus network and resort facilities while caring for children. This role strengthened my organisational, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills while giving me valuable experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment where flexibility, attention to detail, and creating an outstanding guest experience were essential Midwife June 2026- currently As an NHS midwife, I provide compassionate care and support to women and their families throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postnatal period. I work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities, communicating effectively, and remaining calm under pressure. The role strengthened my organisation, problem-solving, and people skills while ensuring high standards of care and professionalism at all times. During my one year studying Primary Teaching at Stranmillis University College, Belfast, I developed a strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and effective teaching practices. As part of my course, I completed teaching placements in both a Primary 1 classroom (ages 4-5) and a Primary 7 classroom (ages 10-11), where I took responsibility for planning and delivering lessons, managing the classroom, and supporting pupils' learning and development. I also completed a three-week placement at Kilronan Special School, where I gained valuable experience working with children with special educational needs and adapting my approach to meet individual needs. In addition, I have coached underage camogie at my local club, helping children to develop their skills, confidence, and teamwork, and I have regularly babysat for local families, providing safe, reliable, and nurturing care for children of various ages.
