Hi there! Firstly, Thank you for your interest in my profile. I am Lisa, I am currently living in Chamonix, working as a self employed nanny. I have been here for 6 years now! I moved here to work with a beautiful family as an au pair in 2015. I did this for 2 years, I still work for this family and now they seem more like my real family opposed to my employers! Since leaving this au pair job I became a nanny for many families around the Chamonix valley. This means I have a lot of experience with kids of all ages. I love my job, I love teaching kids, having fun with them, encouraging them and watching them grow and see their personality and understanding develop and grow.

Qualifications

Prior to living in Chamonix, I studied and worked in Scotland as a Outdoor Sports Instructor, I don't do this now, however my love and passion for sports, outdoor and nature is definitely still there! I love to transfer this knowledge when I am working with my kids. As I said before, I am a self employed nanny. This is great as it gives me a lot of freedom to work with some amazing families all over. I have regular families that I have worked with for the past 6 years being in Chamonix. I also help families that are here in Chamonix for vacation. I am working with a lot of varied family dynamics. The age of the kids I mind, ranges from newborns to 16 years old, I love having the ability to work with kids of all ages, I pride myself being able to adapt to make it a fun, safe and engaging environment for kids of any age. In the past I have comfortably looked after 5 children at one time (2-6years). From a young girl at 16 years old I have always had experience with children from volunteering as a coach at a badminton club for young teens and also babysat for local kids in my area for pocket money. I love working with children and would love to be able to help families out with a schedule to suit you! I have a child first aid qualification and also French DBS check. Lisa has looked after my little boy Sebastian regularly each week from approx age 9 months to 2.5 years. Both during daytime and evenings, cooking healthy meals for him, putting him to bed, and often taking him out for activities. Lisa was our au pair for 2 years, from when my sons were 6 months and 2 years old onwards. She still nannies for us on a regular basis and the boys adore her! I can’t recommend Lisa highly enough. She has a natural ability with children of all ages. She is fun and has endless ideas of how to keep children entertained but she also knows how to handle tricky situations from toddler meltdowns to poorly babies to difficult bed/nap times. Lisa is reliable and trustworthy and I have always felt comfortable leaving my children in her care. I hope your children enjoy spending time with Lisa as much as mine do!
Lisa was wonderful with my two young boys (both under 3). She kept them entertained while we were out (played with them), prepared lunch and fed them, coaxed them to take naps, and returned two happy boys to me at the end of the days she cared for the kids. She was also very responsive to texts and emails, both before she babysat for us and during the days she was babysitting. I would highly recommend Lisa and would love to work with her again. Lisa was such a darling and the kids loved her as much as we did. We would bottle her up and take her home if we could! Lisa spoke so affectionately about our baby and she had endless energy. The older children were so sad to see her go and they were still trying to beg one last UNO game with her as she headed out our door for the last time! Both kids loved her to bits, as did we, she had them for 3 afternoons whilst we skied. Our little boy was only 11 months at the time and our daughter 5. She entertained both fantastically, took them out to play etc and both loved spending time with her. Our daughter couldn't wait to see her every afternoon. She took care of the baby's needs well too getting him up from a nap each day and dealing with bottles and nappies etc. Would happily book Lisa every year (and take her home to help too!!)
