Hello! My name is Nicole Engstrom. I am 22 years old from Stockholm, Sweden spending the winter season of 2023/2024 in Verbier. I have always loved working with and around people and have broad experience within childcare and hospitality. For the season I am therefore searching for a nanny/babysitting position in the Verbier/Bagnes area. I am open for long or short term positions. After graduating high school in 2022 I have been working abroad and in Stockholm. My love for skiing led me to at the end of last year do a season in the Austrian alps, where I worked within hospitality. For the spring and summer I moved to New York where I worked as a live-in nanny for a 1 year old. Since the summer I started working at a five star hotel in central Stockholm called Bank Hotel as a receptionist and concierge, while also babysitting and coaching gymnastics. Growing up I was a competitive gymnast as well as spent a lot of time alpine skiing. Art, fashion and music are interests of mine and I love traveling and experiencing different cultures. I really enjoy being creative and spending time connecting with other people and have always been driven to work within childcare, whether It’s been babysitting, tutoring or coaching gymnastics. I graduated from the science-program at Rudbecks gymnasium in 2021. During my studies I accomplished a few courses to qualify as a gymnastics coach, camp leader and babysitter/nanny. Through the Swedish association for gymnastics "Gymnatikförbundet" I attended and got certified in their "Leadership course" as well as the "Base course" of being a coach for young children. In 2019 I also attended a YMCA leadership program in the USA, which was a 2 week program of training to be a camp counselor following taking on the leading role for a group of 15 children for 2 weeks. In the YMCA program, I also received a CPR certification for all ages as well as practiced lifeguarding skills through the American Red Cross training program. My first aid certificate was last renewed in November 2023 by attending a CPR certification course hosted by Securitas.

My childcare experience started in 2017 when I started babysitting families in my hometown of Stockholm. Since then I have been a live-in nanny for a one year old in the spring and summer of 2023, had a weekly babysitting job for a family of three kids (born 2015, 2012 and 2009) during the course of two years as well as babysat spontaneously for many families with every age between infant to teenager. On top of being a babysitter/nanny I have worked at multiple camps, daytime gymnastic-camps (sporadically from 2017-2022) as well as a sleep-away summer camp in 2019. The ages of the children I have been in charge of at the gymnastics camps vary, from younger teams around four years old to older teenage gymnasts. Furthermore I have been a gymnastic coach from the age of fifteen. Once again the ages and size of different groups have differed, although the team I coached the longest was between the years of 2019-2021, which was a group of thirty girls born 2012-2013. Most recently I have coached a competitive team of forty gymnasts ages fourteen to eighteen since the summer of 2023. At the YMCA sleepover camp I was in charge of a group consisting of twelve ten year old children.

• Nicole has been employed at Bank Hotel from July until December 2023, where she has worked as a receptionist. She has been a great asset to the team since joining us, and very quickly picked up on our standards and procedures. What stood out the most, is Nicole's incredible ability to engage with guests, no matter background and age, and create connections. Her unwavering support of her colleagues in the department has also been much appreciated.
• Nicole has been teaching gymnastics to kids between 6-8 years for 2 years (2019-2021). This term she has been responsible for the association's youth-junior-senior gymnasts in Teamgym floor (dance). She has been responsible for both learning choreography and training for competition. Nicole is dutiful and loyal, you can always count on Nicole to complete the tasks she undertakes with great outcome. Very good with children, has a lot of patience and easily finds fun activities.
