Intro
I am an enthusiastic newly qualified teacher taking a year to travel, ski and surf before settling down to a full time teaching career. Having enjoyed nannying for four years during my time at university I wish to continue to do so while travelling. Coming from a teaching background I enjoy finding creative and fun ways to keep children busy while supporting their early development. I like to support a range of interests to often set up baking, dancing, singing, arts and crafts and forest school activities. I love the outdoors and look to find new ways to bring children outside to enjoy nature.
Qualifications
After leaving school I worked as a teaching assistant at Ecole Notre Dame in BOURG en BRESSE, France. I enjoyed working with children so much so I decided to then undertake my degree and PGCE to become a fully qualified classroom teacher. While studying I worked part time as a nanny for 3 different families over the course of 4 years. The ages of the children ranged from 10 months to 12 years and have gladly looked after 4 siblings at a time! In addition, a selection of these children have had additional needs, though I have grown up with an Autistic sibling and now having studied additional needs extensively I am confident in caring for all children. I now work full time with a lovely family in Bath before travelling on to France. Finally, in regards to my PGCE I taught in year one for 6 months and year 3 for 6 months as the sole class teacher.
