I am also a passionate nanny ;) ! It’s also about a moment of sharing, connecting. And talking added-values, qualities and skills required, yes i am trustworthy, i can be the queen of the clean if asked, i have reserve of patience, i am safety conscious. So, i am also an activity provider, an entertainer, a performer, a chef, an arbiter, a bodyguard, a boo-boo kisser, an art-and-crafts instructor. My goal is to nurture their sense of wonder, inspire them, make them proud of themselves. And i know my mission have been fully accomplished when leaving, i can feel your kids woke up the inner child in me too ☺. I propose the following ‘Quality time activities‘ : ● Parents approved excursions ● Creating dance choreography ● dancing singing ● Drawing & painting ● Scrapbooking ● Nail art ● Yoga sessions (One of my other several hats, I am also a yoga teacher…)

Qualifications

When a teenager I was already a nanny, helping in the neighborhood. I got the chance to start a career in tourism and be fully prepared to be around little munchkins, of all age ranges, from newborn to infants and older ones. I have been living here for two and a half year, and this winter season will be my 7th in Les Menuires. For me childcare is definitely not just about being well trained, it is also a way of being. It is pedagogy.

Mei has looked after my daughter on 2 weekly holidays, once when she was only just a year and another time at 2 years with another child in our party being 1 years old. Mei has been extremely attentive to our children's needs, providing an array of activities from creative arts and crafts, yoga and numerous walks and park visits. She is flexible, reliable and the communication is great and we enjoy seeing photos of our daughters daily activities. Arabella was very settled from the moment she met Mei. There is no question Mei would be our first port of call for my child when visiting St Martin again.
Mei was our child minder in summer 2023 when we went to France for a skiing holiday. She was responsible for the kids from 9am-2pm. Our little one was just over 1 years old and I had never left her with a child minder before so i was a little anxious about how the baby might react, especially with someone she had not met before. I soon realised that i had nothing to worry about. Mei is an absolute natural. She's got such a lovely aura - she's warm and welcoming and the kids naturally gravitate to her. She was brilliant at taking time to learn our little ones different needs and expressions and get to know how to connect with her, and settle her when she was upset or needed to be put to sleep. Considering that Mei was in charge of both our child and our friends (a 2 year old), she did an amazing job at catering to both kids needs. She made them delicious meals, took them on little walks, had music and dance parties and took them to the play area when it was possible. I would book Valerie again in a heart beat.
