My family and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to welcome Sole into our home to live with us, care for Tiger­lily and become apart of our family. Sole lived with us for almost 2 years. It was wonderful to have her with us for such a long period, she has played such a significant role in our daughter’s little life. Sole has a beautiful, caring and compassionate nature, she has a very instinctive way with children which we found our daughter responded positively to. I felt 100% confident leaving Tiger­lily in her care and could trust that they would have a lovely time together full of laughter, cuddles and adventures. Sole was able to effectively establish ground rules with Tiger­lily as she entered the ‘terrible 2’s’ phase and maintained control as an authoritative figure. Sole was responsible for caring for Tiger­lily in the afternoons/ evenings, her duties included: ● Preparing and serving meals, ● cleaning, ● bath time and ● bedtime. Sole would always communicate with me on how the evening had been including retelling cute/ funny stories and also any issues she may have encountered so we could discuss different strategies to implement in the future. Sole’s understanding of the english language improved vastly over her period in New Zealand and I found communicating with her was easy, effective and enjoyable. During her time with us, Sole was not just Tiger­lily’s au pair. She offered me support through very challenging times and brought laughter, fun and enjoyment to our home. Sole will forever be apart of our family and has left a lasting impression in our hearts and memories. She is sorely missed and I highly recommend Sole to any employer or family who are considering having an Au pair/ Nanny.
