Alice

Hi, My name is Alice Strannegard and I am a 19 years old girl from Stockholm, Sweden. I graduated from high school last year and now I'm here in Chamonix during the whole winter season. I am a huge fan of outdoor activities such as skiing, running and figure skating. I've been doing figure skating since I was 5 years old and that is one of my favorite hobbies. I also like to spend time with friends and family. I am a family lover who like to hang out with my siblings and relatives. I have a big family, 7 siblings, where five of them are younger than me. I am a responsible and outgoing person, always looking to do my best. I’m here in Chamonix developing my skiing but I’m also interested in babysitting and spend time with children because I love children.

I have a lot of previous nanny experience. Besides that I have 5 younger siblings in the ages of 2,5, 7, 13, 15 and 16 whom I’ve all grown up with and been taking care of, I’ve been working at one of the biggest nanny companies in Sweden, NannyNu. I worked at NannyNu, as a babysitter, for two different families during the time of 1,5 year. The families that I’ve helped have both had two children in the ages of 4 and 7 years old (two boys) and a 18 months baby and 4 years old girl. I am also a highly educated figure skating coach. I’ve been working every weekend since I was 13 years old, teaching children in all ages how to learn figure skating. I’ve been working alone with children in between 6-10 years old and with another figure skating coach with older children, 10-15 years old. Through my employment as a figure skating coach at DASK figure skating club in Sweden, I’ve got a lot of experience of teaching and learning children how to perform and how to develop their best sides in their hobbies. The maximum amount of children I’ve been teaching at the same time is 20 and it put pressure on you as a coach. You need to be disciplined, structured and clear in your learning. All children are different and need individual support but the most important thing is to make sure they have fun. I believe that the most important characteristics of a babysitter/coach is someone who can combine structure, responsibility and playfulness in one act.
