I’m a very active person who likes to have a lot going on and explore new things. My big passion is skiing and I’m therefore now living in the alps for the season to spend much time on the mountain. I also love to sail which I have done basically my whole life. I used to practice and compete a lot in different boat classes but I’m know mostly sailing with my friends for fun. I have also been working on charter boats in Croatia as a skipper. Other jobs I have had includes working in a boat store and as a waitress at cafes and restaurants. I’m really excited to work in child care this winter since I love to spend time with children and think I’m a perfect fit for the job. Hope to see you soon!

Hello! My name is Hedvig Hedström and I’m 21 years old from Sweden. I grew up in Gothenburg where I went to school. I studied the economics program in high school and also did an exchange year in California in the US. I have experience in taking care of children mostly through babysitting my niece and nephews but also since I’ve been working at a sailing school since I was 14 year old where I have been taking care of children in bigger groups and mixed ages.

My child care experience includes both being responsible for a bigger group of children and also babysitting my relatives who are 5, 3 and 1,5 year old. At the sailing school I work as a leader and a coach for children in the age between 6-12 years old. It is usually a group of 5-20 children who I’m teaching to sail by taking them out on the water in small sailing dinghys and also gather the group for theoretical briefings. The job includes a great deal of responsibility and good leadership which have made me a responsible and reliable babysitter. When taking care of both younger and older children I make sure they have a good time by playing games and come up with fun things to do together.

• Hi! Hedvig has worked for us in sailing school and as a coach in training groups for approximately 7 years. The work includes being in charge of a group of kids, in the ages 8-15 years old, and teaching them to sail a boat by their own. To manage this you must be structured, good with kids and take responsibility. Hedvig sees all individuals in a group, she is very care taking and keen to get everyone to feel safe and having fun. I would recommend her for further work with children due to her qualities shown in previous work and her attitude for doing a great job where everyone involved is happy with the result.
