As I previously said I am a recent graduate from university. I am currently living and working in Morzine and will be here for at least the winter season 2021 and possibly some of the spring. I love Morzine as I am an avid hiker and skier and am trying to get good at mountain biking. I am actively trying to learn French, and am currently undergoing a TEFL (teaching english as a foreign language) course. My previous work experience, as you will see from my CV, is quite heavily orientated around Actuary, however, I have also worked in my local shop, bar and cafe during my time at home. I feel I am a very adaptable person and happy to complete whatever tasks need done.

I have recently graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a First Class honors in 'Actuarial Science & Risk Management'. I am taking a year out before I re-enter the financial world. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do something I really enjoy- working with kids. I have always been heavily involved with my local communities clubs and camps for kids for as long as I can remember. I volunteered at camps such as "The Saturday Club' for local kids with disabilities every Saturday for around 2 years. I was also a leader at the 'The Edmund Rice Camp' which was a summer camp in my area for local underprivileged kids who otherwise would not get a summer holiday. I was an active member of my local Drama Club, where I completed Grade 7 Acting and Grade 5 singing. Here I loved always helping with the younger kids, taking classes- ensuring they learned all the lines and dance moves before opening night. During the Summer of 2018 I travelled to Connecticut, USA to partake in Camp America as the music teacher. This was an amazing experience as it combined my love of kids, music and fun all in the one place. Here I taught kids how to play the ukulele, piano and sing. I organised talent shows, and the end of summer play. To be a leader at all of these camps I had to undergo basic first aid training, and child protection training.

Babysitting - 2016/2021 I have always helped out my friends and family with babysitting whenever needed. I particularly helped one family which currently has 4 little girls, ranging from newborn to 6. I loved the experience working with younger children. I feel I have watched them all grow up. Handling 4 at once is quite challenging, however, I find it is keeping the older kids engaged in an activity, and making them interested in the care of the younger siblings. Camp Chinqueka - Summer 2018 Chinqueka is a summer camp that houses >500 girls ranging in age from 6-16 years. I planned five different level music classes each day for 3 months, as well as organising talent shows, musical dramas, dance routines and other fun activities for the girls. I was also in charge of Cabin 1- meaning the youngest campers. My cabin housed six 6/7 year old girls. Me and my co-leader were in charge of these girls any time we were in the cabin. I found this quite challenging at first as english was not all of their first languages, however, as I got to know the girls I soon became to love it! The minimum they would stay at camp was 2 weeks and the maximum was 8. This meant I quickly became very good at taking their minds off home with fun games, songs and different activities (arts & crafts) and had a homesick teddy on demand if anyone needed a cuddle. Edmund Rice Camp (ERC) - Summer 2016/17 ERC is a camp for underprivileged kids, ranging in age from 7-11 and a mix of boys and girls. This was a day camp (not sleepover), so was extra intense and fun the hours that we were in. This camp was an amazing experience as it taught me how to interact with a large group of kids at once, through group games and songs ( random dance parties etc). These group games were a fantastic way to involved all of the kids, as some were very shy and really struggled making friends. The Saturday Club - Every Saturday 2016/2017 The Saturday Club was children with disabilities ranging from 5-17, although once they turned 18 they usually came back as helpers. This club was such a rewarding experience. I really built a connection with these kids as I was seeing them so often, and they absolutely loved these 3hrs of the week. Some weeks we would bring them on trips swimming, or to the movies but mostly we stayed in the hall and organised fun activities, such as arts & crafts, treasure hunts etc.

• Maeve is an honest, hardworking and caring person. I have always been very impressed with her kind and sensitive manner anytime she looked after my children. She has very strong communication skills and always knows how best to engage with small children. She is always reliable and friendly. She also appears to really enjoy looking after the children and has a real sense of fun. My children are always happy, relaxed and well cared for when in Maeve's company.
