I am Matthew Linsell a 20 year old undergraduate studying Economics, post my degree I have a place at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to become an Army Officer. My hobbies include Rugby, Cricket and field sports in which compete at my university. I also enjoy the outdoors and am a competent skier in which I hope to qualify as an instructor with the Army in the future. I would like to work in childcare as I enjoy working with children I find there is never a dull moment, I can provide a tailored service to parents who need additional help. I understand what is required because as I child I was often in kids club with people looking after me and I want others to have the same wonderful experiences I did.

I am a current undergraduate student studying in Oxford having completed a summer working at a children’s summer camp in Canada. Working in Canada I looked after children ranging from the ages 4-14 and provided engaging activities, during this I learnt valuable first aid training and achieved a nationally recognised lifeguarding qualification. Before this I was a sailing instructor on my local lake teaching children the basics on the water. Additionally I have a chalet cookery course completed in the summer of 2023 at Orchards cookery school where I learnt how to chalet host and cook appropriately. I am also a Irish and British national with right to work in the EU.

I worked at a summer camp in Canada providing engaging activities, building a rapport with the parents who would ask me to baby sit in the evenings. Furthermore, I worked as a sailing instructor where I dealt with children of all ages.
