Introduction: Hello, my name is Symeoni! I’m originally from Greece and have always been passionate about working with children, helping them learn, grow, and discover the world around them in a safe and joyful way. I studied Economics for five years in Thessaloniki, the beautiful “co-capital” of Greece. Later I moved to a smaller city, Serres, to complete my Pedagogical Training Programme, which gave me the opportunity to teach in a secondary school setting as part of my practice. My native language is Greek. I also speak English fluently, with basic knowledge of French and Turkish. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to teach first aid to kids, introduce them to children’s yoga, and gain valuable experience during my pedagogical training. With my strong sense of responsibility, patience, and creativity, I am confident in my ability to provide high-quality care. When surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Alps, every day becomes an opportunity for fun and exploration! I love turning outdoor time into moments of discovery — building snowmen and snow castles, sledding down gentle hills, or creating colorful “snow art” with natural pigments. And when it’s time to head indoors, the fun continues with baking warm cookies, storytelling, crafting or doing puzzles. Whether in the snow or sunshine, my goal is to help children discover the joy of nature, teamwork, and imagination — always in a safe, warm, and happy environment. Ι, also, enjoy so much discussing and learning new things, and from kids you can learn a lot! At our local climbing gym, I taught children aged 4 to 8 how to climb. Sometimes some friends from abroad who spoke only English or French would join us, creating a wonderful language exchange. The kids were learning colors and shapes in English and French, while my friends learned them in Greek. It was a fun and heartwarming experience for everyone. Sports and nature are a big part of who I am. I’ve practiced jiu-jitsu, calisthenics, volleyball, and football, and I’ve also been an active member of a mountain rescue team. Mountain climbing, hiking, skiing, and rock climbing are passions of mine — I truly enjoy being outdoors and sharing that love of adventure with others. When indoors, I enjoy painting, practicing yoga and reading books. I take pride in building strong relationships with both children and parents, ensuring open communication and a sense of trust. My goal is always to create a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. I look forward to meeting you and creating wonderful memories together! Warmly, Symeoni!

Qualifications: I have been volunteering as a First Aid instructor for both children and adults for the past three years. I am a member of Kids Save Lives and the Hellenic Rescue Team, where I am also involved in mountain rescue activities. I recently obtained an official Paediatric and Infant First Aid Certificate, which allows me to provide safe and confident care for young children and babies. Academically, I hold a degree in Economics and have also completed a Teacher Training Programme that grants me pedagogical qualification to teach in schools. This combination of education and first aid experience has strengthened my ability to work responsibly, calmly, and safely with children in any environment.

Experience: I have spent many years around children and babies and truly love their energy and joy. Since I was young, I have often been the one looking after the children of family friends during social outings or at play areas. All of my childcare experience has been unpaid, but it has given me valuable skills in responsibility, patience, and communication. I have cared for up to three children at the same time, aged between 4 and 10 years old. I have also looked after a 1-year-old girl, and a pair of siblings aged 4 and 8 (a boy and a girl). In addition to babysitting, I have taught children’s yoga classes and led climbing lessons at my local climbing gym, helping kids build confidence and coordination through play. I have also volunteered to teach first aid to children, encouraging them to learn safety skills in a fun and supportive way. These experiences have helped me develop a calm and caring approach to childcare, with a focus on creativity, safety, and positive engagement. |
