Experience & Qualifications

Introduction:

I am 18 and have just finished my A Levels, for which I received 3A*’s in Fine Art, which has always been a passion of mine, particularly portraiture, that I am hoping to carry on in my free time. I also did English Literature, as I greatly enjoy reading, watching plays and poetry. At school I was English prefect and editor of the school magazine, for this I helped and tutored girls english, helping write articles for the magazine. Lastly, I did Politics which I found greatly interesting as I love finding out facts and listening to debates/ differing views.

Apart from school work, I have always loved sport and have always been a part of school first teams.I played (for school) netball, hockey, rounders, cricket, tennis and athletics. Outside of school I played netball at both county and club level and I played hockey for county, club and Shrewsbury Woman’s First Team. I have always been an avid skier and love spending time in the alps. As well as this in my spare time I love waterskiing. My involvement in sport has taught me a key sense of both leadership and teamwork.

Other than my experience in childcare, I have 2+ years experience in hospitality, working as a waitress, bar staff and cleaner. This experience as taught me essential skills, such as great communication and organisation skills, making sure all customers were happy and their food arrived promptly. This also meant there was a smooth communication between the waitress team, chefs, managers and customers. Furthermore, I am able to make many drinks (coffees, teas, cocktails and pouring pints). This. Furthered my focus on the importance and constant necessity of always having high levels of hygiene and health and safety.

Another hobby of mine is travelling, I have always hoped to do a ski season to experience different places in the alps, as I love the snow and have always wanted the chance of living in the alps. Additionally, I love music, nature, exercise, good food and spending time with friends.

"Uma took care of our kids during a ski trip. For the moment she came in we knew she was a great choice! She was at ease, knew what to do and gave us a great feeling that we could go away while our kids would be happy with her! She is great and we can recommend her with closed eyes !
