Introduction: I am a nurturing, caring and energetic person who loves being active. I love animals, music, art and sport. I have always wanted to work with children and have been doing just this for the past eight years through a variety of roles. I want to work in child care this winter because it is my "comfort zone" in many ways- I couldn't imagine doing a job which doesn't involve working with children! Their innocence, energy and creativity makes every day interesting, rewarding and sometimes challenging- another aspect of the job which I love. I hope you will consider me to look after your child/children and keep them safe, healthy, happy and active.
Qualifications: I have a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education meaning I am a qualified teacher (as of 2020). I also have 10 GCSEs grade A-A*, 2 A levels, a BTEC diploma and a first class BA Hons degree in physical education. I have received basic first aid training and have passed several courses related to teaching e.g. NCFE CACHE level 2 certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges, Advanced Team Teach training, and Mental Health First Aid for children and young people.
Experience: I have extensive experience working with Primary and Secondary school aged children: - 1.5 years working part-time as an after school club leader at Primary schools across Norfolk, where I was the sole member of staff responsible for up to 25 young children. - 2 years volunteering part-time as a football coach for girls aged 6-13 - 2 summers working full-time as an activity leader for foreign students aged 10-18 - 2 years working full-time as an Assistant Teacher at a special school for boys with social, emotional and mental health issues aged 11-18 - 1 year full-time training as a Secondary PE teacher. -4 months working full-time as a qualified Secondary PE teacher, teaching classes of up to 30 children aged 11-16. |
