Experience & Qualifications

Hi my name is Ashley! I am 25 years old and from Sheffield, England. I currently work as Midwife for the NHS but I am hoping to spend the winter season in the French Alps providing child care. I absolutely love skiing and winter sports and feel at home in the mountains.

Prior to my two years working as a Midwife I have also worked in sales, as a carer and in a cafe. I am responsible, organised, extremely caring and love being around children.

I would love to meet you and your family and hope I can help with all your childcare needs.

For the past two years I have been workng in my hometown, Sheffield, as a Midwife for the NHS. The role of the midwife is one which holds an enormous amount of responsibility and is something which I have worked extremely hard to achieve.

Every day I care for women and their families at an extremely stressful time in their lives. I am constantly required to think and act quickly whilst remaining calm, supportive and empathetic in extremely time sensitive and scary situations.

I am currently based in the hospital where I spend my days helping new families to bring their babies in to the world. I absolutely love my job and feel so grateful to be trusted with one of the greatest responsibilities there is.

Prior to studying Midwifery at a univerity in Leicester, I cared for a young boy with disabilities, my responsibilities included trying to further his reading, writing and communication skills by completing homework with him, playing educational games and helping him to practice Mathematics and English. I also undertook general care duties for him. My time as a carer taught me that I am very patient, and a good listener and communicator.

I also spent a short while gaining some experience in childcare at a nursery in Sheffield.
