Experience & Qualifications

Introduction:

I am enthusiastic, hard-working, dependable, kind and always eager to help people! I love working with children of all ages as there is never a dull moment and it is incredibly rewarding! Last Winter, I had the most amazing opportunity to help children gain the most out of their ski holiday. Having been lucky enough to go on ski holidays myself as a child, I know that these memories are often the most precious as children get the chance to explore a whole new world which is truly magical.

It is my hope to soon go to University to study English so that I may one day be a teacher.
Qualifications:

GCSEs - 5 A*s and 4 As
A-Level - 2 A*s and 1 A
First Aid Trained
Food Safety Level 2
Health and Safety Level 2
Sports Leadership Level 2
Experience:

I have recently worked a Winter Season in France as a Customer Host. I often helped the nannies with ski runs, cable lift adventures, lunch preparation and supervision. I really enjoyed working with children from 9 months to 12 years old, and next winter I am hoping to work as a nanny!

Last summer, I had the opportunity to work as an Activity Instructor/Holiday Representative at a summer camp for children aged 6-17 in northern France for several months. I enjoyed leading all different kinds of activities, from rock climbing to archery, whilst ensuring that the children gained the most from their holiday! I was also expected to clean the campsite and serve food to the children, therefore enhancing my hospitality experience. Finally, it was exciting to experience living in a different country and to develop my good understanding of the French language.

Working as an Activity instructor/ Group leader with PGL for five months was an amazing experience as I was able to help children learn and grow in confidence whilst having lots of fun! It was my responsibility to organise up to 50 children (aged 6-14) for the duration of their holiday whilst running evening activities and ensuring Party Leaders were also happy with their stay. As an Activity Instructor, It was my pleasure to lead sessions such as fencing, team games and problem solving whilst ensuring the children were always having fun as well as learning. This opportunity greatly enhanced my organisation, teamwork and leadership management. I often worked with the housekeeping team to ensure that accommodation was presentable and clean, therefore widening my hospitality experience.

For one year, I was a hockey coach for children aged 7-14 at my local school. This experience led me to earn my Sports Leaders Level UK 2 Award, as I dedicated 15 hours a week to helping children find confidence in their personal abilities whilst also having lots of fun. I also have many years of babysitting children from the age of 8 months to 12 years old. Working with children and toddlers of all ages has been incredibly rewarding and I look forward to my future in child care!

"Alisha is a diligent, caring and thoughtful young woman. In her Gap Year before university, she worked with a range of families whilst they enjoyed their ski holidays. She received excellent feedback and was well liked by adults as well as the children in her care. She has a patient and calming manner and I would highly recommend her to you. "
