Morzine and Les Gets are two of the most family-friendly resorts in the Alps. Whether your kids are full of energy or need a slower pace, there’s loads to explore — on and off the snow.
Both resorts have wide, gentle slopes ideal for little legs.
Look out for magic carpets, quiet green runs, and snow play zones perfect for first-timers.
The “Grand Cry Territory” in Les Gets is a themed Native American area with fun ski trails, face painting, and play teepees.
Designated sledging areas in both villages are safe, fun, and free to use.
Morzine: Near the top of the Pleney gondola and at the Nyon plateau.
Les Gets: At the Chavannes mid-station or near the Tourist Office.
Morzine: A charming outdoor rink right in the centre of town, surrounded by cafes and twinkling lights.
Les Gets: A smaller village ice rink that's perfect for little skaters.
Head to the Parc des Dérêches in Morzine — a sports complex with a lovely indoor swimming pool, including a shallow children’s pool and water features.
There’s also soft play and indoor tennis if the weather turns.
In Les Gets, kids can enjoy pony rides through the snow, often running from the farm just above the village.
Horse-drawn carriage rides are also a lovely option in both villages for a magical experience.
A short trip from Morzine takes you to Les Lindarets, a mountain village famous for its friendly goats (yes — even in winter!). Kids love feeding them and wandering the snowy paths.
Take a scenic ride up the Pleney or Chavannes gondolas — even non-skiers can enjoy the views and a hot chocolate at the top.
Many lift stations have accessible viewing decks and restaurants.
Both resorts have gorgeous pedestrian zones with fairy lights, creperies, chocolate shops, and cosy cafés — perfect for an afternoon wander with a treat.
